Using locally sourced products and ingredients we provide a true Upper Peninsula taste that compliments our welcoming atmosphere. We have a full bar and tasty cocktails, along with many types of beers and wines!

Tom Szocinski

– Owner –

Having family property on Wilsey Bay (located on the Southern Tip of Stonington Peninsula in Rapid River), owner, Tom Szocinski, grew up enjoying the abundant recreational activities this area offers. Tom works full time as an environmental scientist and has traveled the world, yet no matter where he has visited no place was quite as beautiful as home here in Rapid River! Working as a former cook while in college, he has always enjoyed cooking, baking, and BBQing, all while, coming up with many award winning recipes! Owning the Rapid River Pub is a dream for him to be able to provide great food, be part of this amazing community and see and talk with all the locals and tourists! Tom loves to fish, hunt, hike, and really do anything outdoors here with his family and friends.

Beth Medwayosh

Beth has lived most of her life in Rapid River, in fact, her family once owned the pub and she lived in the apartments above the restaurant as well! She graduated from Rapid River High School in 2007 and her daughters currently attend the schools now. She loves being part of the Rapid River Pub to see and talk with all the locals, as our community is like a big family, to see the sports teams that come in after their games, to the tourists visiting that just fall in love with our little "piece of heaven", it all brings a huge smile to her face!

Amber Proehl

Growing up in Rapid River, Amber loves the outdoors and the community! She has a drive to always want to give the best customer service to everyone that walks through our door! She has a contagious personality that will make you feel instantly welcomed and at "home".

Gabe

– Product Manager/Head Cook –

Gabe has worked for Rapid River Pub for years and is one of the best cooks in the UP! He is creative with new recipes and amazingly fast and efficient when it gets busy, but never loses on the quality and traditional tastes that you come to love! With our open kitchen style, you can watch Gabe or his team cook the meals with a smile! He is an amazing addition to our team and family!
